La 90ª edizione della cerimonia degli Oscar si terrà al Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles il 4 marzo 2018, alle ore 17:00 PST.[ A presentarla sarà Jimmy Kimmel, già conduttore della precedente edizione. Nella cerimonia, l’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciencespremierà il meglio offerto dal mondo del cinema durante il 2017, suddiviso in 24 categorie.[1]

Le candidature sono state annunciate il 23 gennaio 2018, alle ore 5:22 PST (13:22 UTC, le 14:22 italiane), presentate dagli attori Tiffany Haddish e Andy Serkis.[4][1] Il film che ha ricevuto il maggior numero di candidature è stato La forma dell’acqua – The Shape of Water, con tredici totali.
